Faatimah Lee Personal Trainer, ECITS -CPT,GFI
I am an ECITS (East Coast Instructor Training School) certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor. I am also certified as an Olympic Weightlifting Club Coach, as well as in dealing with preventative and post-rehabilitative, sport specific, and pre & post natal scenarios.
I graduated from Howard University with a B.A. in Physical Anthropology and a minor in Biology. I have participated in archaeological research where we excavated at a Mayan Ballcourt and multi-roomed structure, which may prove to be a funerary tomb or pyramid. I studied under a principal Anthropologist on the African Burial Ground project.
My career started in the City of New York's "Shape-Up NY" Program, which involved teaching resistance training in a "bootcamp" setting to large groups of individuals in the City's various recreation centers. I then became a Personal Trainer at Equinox, where I remained for several years before starting aNuU Fitness. Faatimah started aNuU Fitness to fulfill a dream to be an entrepreneur and independent but also so to serve a larger audience, one that may be unable to afford or have the time to get to a gym regularly. My programs include Floor/step aerobics, Medicine Balls, Flex Bands, Free Weights, Bodywork, BodyBars, Kettlebells and Mountain Biking.
I believe in keeping my workouts fresh and fun - if you enjoy what you do, you will keep doing it. If you keep doing it - you will see results.

Catherine Cusumano, MS.,L.Ac. Acupuncturist
Acupuncture and Athletes
With a strong background in running, yoga and dance I am well educated in anatomy through movement, both personally and professionally. Overuse, poor posture, injury or physical conditions such as leg length discrepancy or scoliosis can lead to structural imbalances that impede our daily activities as well as our ability to participate in sports, athletics and yoga. These structural imbalances can lead not only to constriction but to injuries that just won't heal. Using massage and palpation to locate muscle restrictions and holding patterns I am able to release trigger points using acupuncture. This combination lends itself to successfully treating structural imbalances that constrict motion and cause pain.
I regularly treat people who are suffering from physical pain such as: low back, shoulder or rotator cuff, neck, hand and wrist, hip (adductor, hip flexors and hamstrings), knee and foot pain.
The styles of acupuncture I practice to relief these constriction are Trigger point release and motor point release. These are decided Western based approaches so I combine them with TCM or Japanese acupuncture to round out the balance of the whole-body recovery to injury, trauma and stress.
